SCAN COIN SC Active 4000
The SCAN COIN Active 4000 high speed coin sorter incorporates the innovative Active Sorting® coin processing technology and advanced electronic control.
Flexible coin processing
Calibration details can be stored for up to 32 denominations which can be sorted at up to 4,000 coins a minute. The system is very flexible permitting a wide range of sorting options. There are eight bag holders and a reject tray. A light above each outlet indicates when a bag is full. An animated representation of the bags shows the level of coins in each one.
Active Sorting®
With the Active Sorting® technology, the machine can run continuously even when a bag is full. Coins are simply re-circulated until a bag outlet is available.
By using the bag switching facility, the user can designate more than one bag to a coin and when one becomes full, coins are automatically diverted to the next bag so that the fi rst can be emptied without disrupting the sorting process, leading to increased productivity. Despite the level of capability and wide range of user options, the
SC Active 4000 can be operated with a minimum of training.
Operational versatility
The sophisticated software used to control the machine offers a high level of flexibility and enables the SC Active 4000 to be configured to meet the customer’s particular requirements. This means that the monitor only displays the functions required. No irrelevant screens to confuse operators, no unnecessary operations to complete the count.
The SC Active 4000 has the power and versatility to handle a wide range of cash handling options but you select only those you require making the whole operation simple and straightforward. Multiple alpha-numeric identification and “non-coin” items can be input to provide total transaction information for each register. All count and register information is retained in a non-volatile memory.
An optional 40 column printer is available on SC Active 4000. Also included are a 3½ inch floppy disk drive, three serial communication ports and one parallel port allowing the machine to communicate with a variety of external systems including direct data transfer to PC's and central accounting systems.
Customers can define four lines of information as a header for each printout. Time and date are shown on each printout. The machine has three access levels - operator, supervisor and engineer.
Built-in cash management system
Using the capabilities of the micro-computer and built-in memory storage, the SC Active 4000 includes a cash management system with four levels of memory; transaction, sub-total, total and one grand total.
The transaction information can be specified by the supervisor to include for example, notes (by denomination), plastic tokens, cheques and credit cards. This information is held in memory with the coin breakdown when count is cleared.
When the transaction is cleared, it is allocated by keyboard entry or look-up tables to one of many pre-defined sub-total registers and forms part of that accumulated sub-total.
Sub-totals can be pre-defined against multiple total registers which contain the accumulated value by denomination for all transactions within the associated sub-totals.
The advanced data management routines enable the operator to access the information at any memory level and move to higher or lower levels.
Applications for this cash management system include box, route and collector; till, site and customer; machine, area and site. The definition of each level can be programmed to meet each customer’s needs.
