Gradiali
Palanga, Lithuania
The wellness and relaxation complex Gradiali in Palanga has been upgraded with a new swimming pool and sauna area enhanced by modern technology. This space is designed not only for peaceful rest but also for unique events.
“Our Gradiali team is always looking for new ideas and challenges to create an unforgettable and high-quality experience for our guests. We wanted to make a one-of-a-kind swimming pool and sauna area in Lithuania, where people would be surprised by a large high-resolution screen and its visual possibilities,” says Gradiali Marketing Manager Eglė Plesevičiūtė.
First High-Resolution LED Screen by the Pool in Lithuania
The main highlight of the new area is a 25-meter-long LED screen – the only one of this size and quality next to a pool in Lithuania. Its total area is 112.5 m². The screen was made by Unilumin, one of the largest LED screen manufacturers in the world. The solution was designed by Hansab experts, who carefully adapted it to the specific conditions of a pool area. The screen uses highly durable components, made to withstand even tough outdoor environments, ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation.
Special Content for a Unique Screen
The LED screen not only aesthetically enhances the interior of the space, but also creates a stunning visual experience. It currently shows 3D-like content and specially made visuals that fit the screen’s size and shape.
“Before starting the project, we spent a lot of time thinking about the final result and what kind of experience we wanted to create. We’re now working on different visual projects and ideas. In the future, we plan to use this pool and sauna area in even more creative ways and keep surprising our visitors,” says E. Plesevičiūtė.
Later, the screen will show poetic documentary videos by artist Marius Jovaiša, featuring the Lithuanian seaside and its natural beauty during different seasons.
Unique Acoustics in the Pool Area
The pool and sauna space also features a top-level Bose Professional sound system. It ensures clear and even sound throughout the area, whether it’s background music or event sound.
“Sound, just like visuals, is an important part of what we feel. That’s why we wanted to create a SPA space where everything works together – image, quality sound, and lighting – to give a truly memorable experience,” emphasizes E. Plesevičiūtė.
Bose Professional was chosen for its more than 50 years of experience and expertise in professional sound. Its acoustic design tools, Modeler and Auditioner, were used to test and improve the acoustics even before construction started. This helped to identify and solve common acoustic problems in pool spaces, making the room comfortable for relaxation.
The main hall has 12 wide-range AMU208 speakers and 4 double MB210-WR subwoofers. The sound is managed by a Bose ControlSpace EX-1280 processor and powered by eight Bose PowerShareX amplifiers, providing a total of 24 kilowatts.
Light and Fog Effects Add to the Experience
The visual experience is enhanced by a modern Clay Paky lighting system with 10 powerful moving lights and over 30 color-changing lights. These are carefully synced with the screen visuals and controlled automatically – no operator needed. Fog effects also add to the special atmosphere in the pool.
Control with One Touch
All systems – sound, visuals, lighting, and even water features – are controlled with one touch using a tablet or a wall panel. The easy-to-use interface allows quick changes to different scenes and moods, even for those without technical skills.
Hansab – Technology Partners
The technology solutions for the new Gradiali pool and sauna area were designed and installed by experts from Hansab.
“We’re happy to have found partners who weren’t afraid of our big ambitions to create something different and be the first to do so in Lithuania. Working with the Hansab team was quick, efficient, and successful. We’re very pleased with the partnership and, of course, with the final result,” says E. Plesevičiūtė.
We’re proud to have contributed to creating a modern and functional space. This project shows how innovative technologies can transform a traditional relaxation area and offer new experiences for both calm rest and events.
