Hansab Becomes a Member of the Estonian Traders Association
As of early 2026, Hansab has become a member of the Estonian Traders Association. The purpose of joining is to contribute to the Association’s activities and to support the development of a modern and convenient retail environment in Estonia.
“We want to contribute to the development of retail through the Estonian Traders Association and bring our expertise in payment and security solutions to the table. Cooperation helps create a more convenient and secure shopping experience for both merchants and consumers,” said Rainer Saaron, Member of the Management Board of Hansab AS.
Hansab is a technology company that provides end-to-end solutions for the retail sector, focusing on various efficiency and security solutions. These include customer flow and analytics solutions, merchandise protection systems, as well as cash handling and cash-in-transit services. In addition, Hansab offers audio-video solutions, electronic shelf labels, access control, parking solutions, and much more. The company’s goal is to support merchants in creating a seamless, secure, and convenient shopping experience in both physical and digital environments. Hansab’s solutions help retailers increase service speed, improve security, and offer end consumers a simple and reliable shopping environment.
Nele Peil, CEO of the Estonian Traders Association, emphasized the role of technology companies in shaping a convenient and accessible retail environment: “A convenient shopping environment requires smart and reliable technological solutions. Estonian retail is a very demanding client for technology companies, and their contribution is crucial in providing customers with fast and secure solutions. Hansab is a valuable addition to the technology companies that are already members of the Estonian Traders Association.”
According to Rainer Saaron, technology plays an increasingly important role in the development of retail. “Convenient retail no longer means just a good location or a wide assortment, but a holistic experience in which payment and security are integral components, and data collected through customer analytics provides merchants with valuable added insight for optimizing customer journeys. Automation, digitalization, and secure solutions—previously more common in sectors such as banking, government, security, and healthcare—can also be successfully applied in retail processes. These are precisely the areas in which we wish to contribute to the activities of the Estonian Traders Association with our knowledge and experience,” Saaron added.
The Estonian Traders Association is a voluntary organization founded in 1996 that brings together retail and wholesale companies operating in Estonia. The Association is a member of the Estonian Employers’ Confederation, the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and EuroCommerce.
