Kindness Tree in Vilnius: a technological solution that helps light hope for children
12.12.2025
Social initiatives become even more powerful when they are supported by meaningful technological solutions. One such example is the Kindness Tree project in Vilnius Old Town, which invites residents and visitors to help children who need support the most.
Project Idea
The Kindness Tree, located in Vilnius Old Town, encourages people to stop, donate, and become part of a brighter everyday life for children. Every donated euro turns into real support – for children’s safety, education, emotional well-being, and Christmas joy.
The project was initiated by Gelbėkit vaikus (Save the Children Lithuania),which has been working in the field of child welfare for many years and creating long-term positive social impact. Hansab is grateful for the opportunity to provide a technological solution into this meaningful initiative.
Technological Solution
Hansab implemented a technological solution that allows people to donate easily, conveniently, and safely. After the payment is completed, the tree lights up.
The goal of this project was not only to simplify the donation process, but also to enhance the overall experience, turning it into a meaningful and engaging city attraction.
Project Location and Duration
The Kindness Tree is installed in Vilnius, at Vilniaus St. 24, next to the Radvilai Palace Museum of Art, and will be open to visitors until January 6. For those who cannot visit in person, it is also possible to support the initiative remotely.

All funds collected during the project are donated to children supported by Save the Children Lithuania. This initiative is an example of how technology can become not only a functional tool, but also a creator of social value, helping to light hope when it is needed most. We thank Save the Children Lithuania for their trust.
