Access Solutions for KIKA Group Territory: When Every Second is Crucial

A project was implemented to ensure maximum security of the KIKA Group territory and convenient movement of both vehicles and employees. Folding high-speed gates and a full-height turnstile were installed on site, together forming a modern and reliable access system.
Motives Behind the Solution
“The decision to integrate high-speed gates and a full-height turnstile was driven by several key factors. First of all – our security standards and the need to make sure that only authorized people can enter the territory. The equipment, connected to access control, not only helps to effectively restrict entry of unauthorized persons but also ensures smooth and convenient movement control for employees,” says Audrius Kriaučionis, Head of Security at KIKA Group.
According to him, the system also helps integrate working time tracking and provides better traceability in case of incidents.
“Our operations are complex – within one territory we have a breeding center with its staff and clients, a factory where raw materials and packaging are delivered daily, warehouses with intensive logistics and export through the Zapyškis warehouse. The large number of employees, client and partner flows, as well as heavy transport traffic, mean that we need a fast and reliable access control system,” says Kasparas Plungė, Investment Project Manager at KIKA Group.
High-speed gates: security without wasting time
The high-speed gates integrated in KIKA Group territory are designed for use with intensive traffic flows. They are ideal for industrial sites, logistics centers, ports, military, police and border protection areas – where both speed and security are crucial. The gates open and close at up to 1 m/s and are securely locked with a magnetic lock once closed. Their durable construction is designed not only for intensive use but also for northern climate conditions.
Full-height turnstile – safe and convenient
Alongside the gates, a full-height turnstile was installed to ensure safe pedestrian access for employees. The tall rotating gates are particularly suitable for high-security zones, where it is important that only one person can pass at a time.
“The full-height turnstile provides the highest level of security where reliable pedestrian control is needed, ensuring that no unauthorized individuals can enter the territory,” notes Audrius Kriaučionis, Head of Security at KIKA Group.
