Rimi Drive – a new way to pick up goods
Today, there is more and more talk about how to assure good customers experience. While this concept alone is self-evident, others are still looking for the most appropriate solution to do that.
Click & Collect is a modern, well-known solution for convenient online shopping and delivery. Its goal is to improve the customer's shopping experience and ensure safe, risk-free transfer/delivery of goods.
In order to provide customers with an interesting, convenient and fast shopping experience, Rimi opened an e-shop and collection points in all Baltic countries.
At the end of 2018, Rimi began looking for a supplier who would not only be able to create software, but also be able to deliver and install equipment. Hansab was well suited for this job due to its knowledge and experience and its operations in all Baltic countries. The solution software was developed by Hansab IT Solutions, a company managed by Hansab Group.
The visible side of the solution is convenient, fast and allows smooth shopping, but in reality, it is a complex solution. It consists of software related to customer identification, parking management, hardware required for receiving and issuing goods, referral systems, and more.

Rimi's solution consists of purchasing goods in an e-shop and receiving them in two ways:
- At special collection points.
- Rimi Drive - a collection of goods without getting out of the car.
How does shopping work?
Shopping in Rimi e-shop
The customer places the order in the e-shop, indicating the desired pick-up time. As soon as the order is ready, the customer receives a notification and can travel to pick up the goods.
After shopping in the Rimi e-shop, the goods can be picked up at specially designed pick-up points. All you have to do is enter the PIN code on the terminal. When this is done, the store employee receives a message that the customer has arrived and the goods are brought to him.
Rimi Drive - collection of goods without getting out of the car
When the customer approaches Rimi Drive, the system automatically recognizes the car number and directs the driver to the destination. At the same time, the customer is admitted to the area, the store employee receives a notification of arrival. If due to any disturbances, such as dirty car numbers, the system cannot identify customer, the order PIN code must be entered in a special terminal.
