Improving in-store communication at Bauhof stores

Category

Retail

Bauhof is a chain of stores offering a wide range of construction materials and garden goods. Every day a considerable number of customers visit the store looking for help and advice. However, having a store with many departments spread across a large area poses its challenges. Finding the staff who can help is one of them.

Hansab installed an innovative in-store communication solution VoCoVo which improves the visitor experience.

VoCoVo solution has several Call Points stations around the store. Each call point allows customers to request help at the location where they are.

Touching the call button immediately generates an audible message that is sent to store employees via their VoCoVo wireless headsets.

The message states the location where assistance is required.

This reverses the usual process of customers having to search for help in the store themselves.

Improved communication between staff members

This also improves communication between the store’s employees. With a lightweight and durable headset, store employees can communicate and exchange information even when they are in different departments, warehouses, or even office rooms.

Data-driven decision-making for management

The system provides statistics on how the solution is used, such as how quickly employees respond to Call Points and how much time it takes to help one customer. Comprehensive statistics facilitate data-driven decision-making for the management.

The VoCoVo solution consists of several modules that are connected to each other wirelessly and can be used to build the system according to the size and needs of each store.
