Self-service cash payment solution at Võru COOP Maksimarket

Usually we are used to seeing automatic cash acceptors in self-service checkouts, but in Võru COOP Maksimarket we installed the Glory solution in the regular checkout of the information counter.

The device is integrated with the store’s POS system and is very easy to use for store visitors. When paying in cash, the customer enters the money into the Glory cash machine, the system counts and verifies the accuracy of the money and issues a refund if necessary.

The self-service device speeds up and simplifies the work of the counter clerk, saving time at the expense of handling money. It also reduces the risk of human error, and since the money is in a closed system, the risk of robbery also decreases. This allows the attendant to focus all his attention on advising the customer, and not on counting, checking and placing cash in the cash drawer.

A representative of Võru COOP comments: “Coop stores are almost bank branches today and this requires more precision and also responsibility. The new solution of Võru Maksimarket allows for a significant reduction in the burden of responsibility and gives the opportunity to use staff in a much more flexible way. The speed and accuracy of the device in counting and dispensing money is also important. During the short period of use, the solution has been well accepted by customers and they are looking forward to the new cash solution for other cash desks also.”

Hansab offers a full maintenance service for the Glory cash solution. In Estonia, Glory self-service devices are used by Apollo cinemas and bookstores, Selver and Maxima stores and KFC restaurants.
